Mr. Pelicano

Mr. Pelicano is a 44-foot marine trader Labelle. It is powered by two Volvo Penta 225 engines. With a sundeck and solarium, two spacious cabins with private bath and shower, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious saloon with dining table, all of your needs will be met for an exciting and relaxing day on the water. 

 

Morning, Sunset & Full Day Cruises

Mr. Pelicano is available for morning, sunset, and full day cruises, for 4, 5 and 8 hours respectively, the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful beaches around Flamingo Bay or catch one of our famous Costa Rica sunsets. While en route to a secluded beach the crew will be on the lookout for marine species such as dolphins, turtles, manta rays, and whales. The crew will put out fishing lines, and if they get lucky, they will cook the fish on the boat, to offer up in addition to the other delicious foods and drinks on offer. 

 

When the captain finds the perfect spot, out come the clear kayaks, where you can get a close-up view of the abundant marine life swimming by. There are also paddle boards, floaties, a lily pad and quality snorkel gear to enjoy the warm Pacific waters.

 

Morning, sunset, and full day cruises can accommodate up to 20 people.

 

Half-Day Fishing Trips

Mr. Pelicano also offers half-day fishing trips. Departure is at 7am with a return at around 11am. During this four-hour tour you can fish for Mahi-Mahi, Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Mackerel, Rooster Fish, Wahoo, and many more. Some of the captain’s favorite routes include fishing around beautiful islands off the coast and bordering secluded beaches.

 

Included on the fishing trips are properly maintained fishing tackle, coolers with ice, bottled water, chips with guacamole and pico de gallo, and fresh fruit.

 

Fishing trips can accommodate up to 10 people.

 

Full Day Surfing at Witch’s Rock

If surfing is your thing, Witch’s Rock offers world class surfing along its sand bottom beach breaks. Known as the temple of barrels, Witch’s Rock is a day you will long remember. You’ll begin early at 6am and can expect to return around 3pm. On the way there, you can enjoy the boat ride with fishing and sightseeing. Once the crew finds the perfect spot to anchor, a light breakfast will be served before jumping in the water. You will be welcome to come back on board throughout the day for drinks, snacks and lunch.

 

Your day includes a Tico breakfast, meat tacos for lunch, fruits and snacks, water, juice and beer, and a surf guide. After a full day at Witch’s Rock, you will return to Flamingo around 3:00pm.

 

Surfing trips can accommodate up to 10 people.

What to bring: Bathing suit, towels, sunscreen (ocean-friendly please!), hats, sunglasses, cameras, motion sickness medication (if needed). For surf trips, also bring surfboards and wax.
