This tour includes private transportation, lunch, and a dedicated, certified, bilingual guide

Explore the wonders of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park. You’ll take a two-hour moderate hike into the park, home to over 300 bird species and a variety of mammals, including monkeys, two-toed sloths, kinkajous, and jaguars.Your guide is skilled at spotting wildlife and will share their knowledge of the area as you hike. Rincón de la Vieja Volcano has been active over the past few years, with eruptions of steam and gas. No need to worry though – you will be safe when hiking, but still be able to view volcanic activity including bubbling mud pots, fumaroles, and a mini crater!

You’ll also visit Oropendola Waterfall, just outside the park, where you can swim in the beautiful blue lagoon. You’ll enjoy a buffet lunch with options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diets. There are choices of entrees, a salad bar, dessert bar, juice, coffee and tea.

After lunch, you’ll visit the mud baths and hot springs of Río Negro, featuring ten pools with thermal waters heated naturally by the volcano, forming pools of different temperatures. The river flows constantly through the pools, refilling them with water. The hot springs, combined with the volcanic mud baths are a relaxing and refreshing ritual.
