Adventure awaits as we head to the beautiful slopes of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, one of six active volcanoes in Costa Rica, which last erupted in June, 2021. It is home to Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Park. Did you know that Costa Rica houses 6% of the world’s biodiversity? And this particular area, situated in a primary rainforest, next to Guanacaste conservation lands, is home to 2.6% of the planet’s biodiversity. It is the perfect backdrop to an invigorating day of activities that help you get as close as possible to Costa Rica’s magical flora and fauna while minimizing our impact on nature’s delicate balance.

 

Our day begins when your chauffeur and bilingual certified tour guide pick you up at your lodgings at 6:00am. We will drive in a spacious and comfortable vehicle for about an hour before stopping for breakfast at a buffet style restaurant serving typical Costa Rican cuisine and pastries as well as fresh fruits and coffee. Then we will continue our drive for approximately 1.5 hours, during which your guide will share information about your day and the beautiful region you will be visiting. 

 

Once we arrive at Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Park, we will enjoy a welcome cocktail. From there we will participate in all of the park’s many activities. These include the Las Pavas zipline which will move you across the treetops, with spectacular views of the forest and the Gulf of Papagayo. If you dare, you can also experience a free fall from a platform suspended 50 meters high in the Tarzan Swing. These activities are supervised by the Park’s expert guides. Other delights will include hanging bridges, a water slide through the jungle, a 5 course gourmet lunch with farm-fresh ingredients, a cultural workshop with food and coffee tastings and a live pottery demonstration. And finally, we will visit Salitral Waterfall, and enjoy a horseback trail ride to the Pacaya hot springs, for a blissful and relaxing soak to end our time at the Park. 

 

This day is the perfect combination of adventure, nature, culture, sustainability, and gastronomy. You will be returned to your lodgings between 6 and 7pm.

 

Who is this tour for?

The Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Park day is perfect for families or groups, especially those who love outdoor adventures. With so many activities to choose from, there is something for everyone. It is suitable for people of moderate physical abilities. Degree of Difficulty: Easy to Harder. General walking, trail walking and hanging bridges, ziplining, water slide, horseback riding, hot springs. Members of your group can opt out of any of these activities.

 

Your day includes:

• Door-to-door spacious and comfortable transportation with your private chauffeur and bilingual naturalist guide on board. Your day begins with a 6:00am pick-up.

• An hour-long drive to our breakfast stop at a buffet style restaurant, serving typical Costa Rican cuisine and pastries as well as fresh fruits and coffee. 

• A 1.5 hour drive to Buena Vista del Rincon Eco Adventure Park.

• Activities: Zip-lining, Tarzan Swing, hanging bridges, water slide, cultural workshop, Salitral Waterfall, horseback riding, Pacaya hot springs.

• 5 course gourmet lunch

• A safe return to your lodgings with an arrival between 6 - 7pm.

What to bring: Good walking shoes, water shoes if desired, bathing suit and towel and change of clothes, sunscreen, hats, bug repellent, cameras, binoculars, snacks (especially if traveling with children), motion sickness medication if needed (our Costa Rican roads can be bumpy). Bottled water provided, but feel free to bring your own beverages if preferred.
